Silent Prayer
Everyone needs at least a half hour of silent prayer, if one is busy they need an hour. Without this it is not possible to remain attuned to God's presence, providence, and will; without these one takes on the role of the Older Brother in Luke 15 or the Pharisees and Scribes, seeking knowledge and grandiosity rather than communion and holiness. Below are some helpful resources but sometimes we just need to still know that God is.
Morning
Morning Offering
O Jesus, through the immaculate heart of Mary, I offer my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of your sacred heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the mass throughout the world, in thanksgiving for your favors, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my friends and relatives, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father
Guardian Angel Prayer
Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom god`s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide.
Daily Prayer
It is necessary for the Christian to truly follow God's will to begin by spending at least 10 minutes of silent prayer each day to converse with God.Before Silent Prayer
My Lord and my God, I firmly believe that you are here, that you see me, that you hear me. I adore you with profound reverence; I ask your pardon for my sins and the grace to make this time of prayer fruitful. My immaculate mother, Saint Joseph, my patron saints, and my guardian angel, intercede for me as I pray.
Prayer After Silent Prayer
I think you, my God, for the good resolutions affections, and inspirations do you have communicated to me in this meditation. Ask your help to put them into effect. My immaculate mother, Saint Joseph, my patron saints, and my guardian angel, intercede for me as I go forth to glorify God by my actions, words, and thoughts.

Daily Renewal Checklist
These questions & answers can be shared with a trusted spiritual accountability partner, prayer group, or reflected upon during personal prayer time, especially at the beginning of the day.
Are you willing to admit your powerlessness over sin, particularly sins of the flesh, and entrust your weakness to God's grace, just for today?
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Do you desire purity and holiness for the next 24 hours: freedom from sinful thoughts, actions, fear, resentment, shame, and isolation, so you may live in God's peace?
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matthew 5:8).
Are you willing to do whatever is necessary to protect this desire, including prayer, Scripture meditation, spiritual reading, reaching out to others, physical care of your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, setting appropriate boundaries, and rejecting all temptations as harmful to your soul?
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).
Just for today, do you commit to God and your spiritual community to avoid any willful sin, particularly sins of impurity, no matter the temptation, trusting that at the end of this day, you can recommit your life to God or choose otherwise?
"Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life" (Romans 6:13).
Do you understand that this renewal does not grant holiness (God’s grace does), but it does help you remain vigilant, self-aware, and accountable to God and others?
"Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41).
And, just for today, are you willing to surrender your will and entrust the care of your life to God, who has sustained you in the past and desires your eternal salvation?
"Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God" (Psalm 31:5).
Have you done anything in the past 24 hours that you are ashamed of or that has distanced you from God? Are you willing to bring this to confession or seek God’s forgiveness in prayer?
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
Are you aware of any plans or situations in the next 24 hours that could lead to sin or temptation? Are you willing to bring these concerns to the light in prayer and prepare your soul to avoid them?
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God" (Romans 12:2).
Close by offering at least one gratitude to God for His blessings, His mercy, and His grace in sustaining you.
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Fully Affirmative Prayer in Response to Daily Renewal Checklist
Heavenly Father, Sacred Heart of Jesus, Holy Spirit, Immaculate Heart of Mary, and St. Joseph,
Today, I humbly renew my baptismal promises and entrust my life to You. I renounce sin and Satan and resolve to follow Christ more faithfully. Jesus, I offer You my heart—set it ablaze with love for You. May it thirst for Your will and for the salvation of souls.
I come before You in humility, admitting my powerlessness over sin, especially sins of the flesh. I entrust my weakness entirely to Your grace, trusting in Your promise: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). Strengthen me, Lord, as I rely on Your power, not my own.
For the next 24 hours, I desire purity and holiness in thought, word, and deed. Free me, O God, from sinful inclinations, pride, fear, resentment, shame, isolation, and all that distances me from You. You have said, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matthew 5:8). Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me, that I may live in Your peace and joy.
Father, I consecrate myself entirely to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, that she may guide me closer to You. Keep me pure in love and steadfast in faith. May the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the purest of all hearts, and St. Joseph, the chaste protector of the Holy Family, strengthen me in my efforts to resist temptation and to live in virtue.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I offer my actions, pains, and joys to glorify You. Help me turn to You in prayer throughout my day, meditate on Your Word, and seek wisdom through spiritual reading and guidance. Give me the courage to reach out for help when needed, the discipline to care for my body as Your temple, and the clarity to set firm boundaries to guard my soul. By Your grace, I will reject all temptations as harmful to my soul, trusting in Your Word: "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from evil, Lord.
Just for today, I commit to avoiding all willful sin, especially sins of impurity and self-centeredness, no matter the temptation. Fill me with the Holy Spirit, that I may turn to You in every moment of weakness and find refuge in Your Sacred Heart. At the end of this day, Lord, I will recommit myself to You, knowing that You desire my holiness and eternal salvation. Strengthen my resolve to present myself to You as one who has been brought from death to life (Romans 6:13).
Lord, I acknowledge that this renewal does not make me holy—this is Your work alone through grace. But I offer my vigilance, self-awareness, and accountability to You as an act of love and worship. Help me remain steadfast and humble, trusting that "the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41).
Today, I surrender my will and entrust the care of my life entirely to You, O God. You have sustained me through past struggles and desire my eternal salvation. As Christ entrusted His spirit to You, so too do I: "Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God" (Psalm 31:5).
If I have done anything in the past 24 hours that has distanced me from You, I ask for Your mercy and forgiveness. Wash me in the blood of the Lamb, cleanse me from all unrighteousness, and restore me to grace. Help me to bring my failings to light through confession or prayer, knowing that "If we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
Father, I bring before You the plans, challenges, and encounters I anticipate in the next 24 hours. Grant me the grace to discern Your will, to walk the narrow path, and to avoid the traps and snares of the enemy. Let Your Word guide me: "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind" (Romans 12:2). Renew my mind, my heart, and my desires in Your truth.
Finally, I thank You, Lord, for the blessings of this day. I thank You for Your mercy, Your grace, and the promise of freedom and salvation in Christ. I give thanks for the moments of strength You have granted me and for the journey of healing You are guiding me through. As Scripture reminds me: "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Today, I pledge my life as a living offering, seeking to glorify God in all I do. May this act of consecration transform me into a vessel of Your love and mercy, and may I remain faithful to this promise until I stand before You in eternity.
Help me, Father, to live this day in purity, love, humility, and trust in You. May my words, actions, and thoughts bring glory to You and help draw others closer to Your Heart. I entrust all that I am and all that I desire into Your hands, O loving and merciful God.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, be my refuge and strength.
St. Joseph, Protector of the Church, pray for me.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Midday
Serenity Prayer
God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen.

L: Pray for us O Holy Mother of God
R: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ
Let us pray: Mary, guide me a sinner in the little way of love. Help me to know God's will in every moment. Pray that I may have boldness and courage at even the most difficult of circumstances to do God's ordaining will and only God's ordaining will. Help me to reveal Him as You did/do. Teach me the path of virtue, receptivity, vulnerability, and authenticity which You so hastily followed. Pray that the effects of sin I retain, those I have inflicted, and those inflicted on others by others be healed. I entrust my salvation, the salvation of those I love, and those I struggle to love to Your care, love, and mercy. In such trust, I hope for a better tomorrow for the world, at least through those I am entrusted with and myself. Through your intercession, I ask my love for Him whom You bore and those He loves be my strength and glory as I walk this pilgrimage here below as it was and is for You and all saints. Beneath your protection and intercession may I be purged of my sin, given the mind and heart of Christ, and united to Christ more than a spouse, first in His Passion, and thence in His resurrection that all those I encounter and myself may, with You, praise God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit through all eternity.
Saint Joseph, pray for us.

Daily Examine of Conscience.
I confess to You, my Lord, God and Creator, to the One glorified and worshipped in Holy Trinity, to the + Father, Son and Holy Spirit, all my sins which I have committed all the days of my life, at every hour, in the present and in the past, day and night, in thought word and deed: by gluttony, drunkenness, secret eating, lust, idle talking, despondency, indolence, contradiction, neglect, aggressiveness, self-love, hoarding, stealing, lying, dishonesty, curiosity, jealousy, envy, anger, resentment, and remembering wrongs, hatred, vindictiveness, (playing with occult powers);(you can mention your other sins that you wish to articulate before God) and by all my senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch; and all other sins, spiritual and bodily, through which I have angered You, My God and Creator, and caused injustice to my neighbours. Sorrowing for this, but determined to repent, I stand guilty before You, my God. Only help me, my Lord and God, I humbly pray to You with tears. Forgive my past sins by Your mercy, and absolve me from all I have confessed in Your Presence, for You are good and the Lover of Mankind.
Amen.
O God, + absolve, remit, and pardon my voluntary and involuntary sins, in word and deed, known and unknown, by day and by night, in mind and thought; forgive us all, in Your goodness and love for mankind.
O God, be merciful to me, a sinner:

Prayer to the Venerable Cross
Making the Sign of the Cross, say: + Let God arise and let his enemies be scattered; and let those who hate Him flee before His Presence. As smoke vanishes, so let them vanish; and as wax melts before the fire, so let the demons perish before the presence of those who love God and who sign themselves with the Sign of the Cross and say in gladness: Hail, most precious and life-giving Cross of the Lord, for You drive away the demons by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ who was crucified on You and who went down to Hell and trampled on the power of the devil, and gave us You, His venerable Cross, for driving away all enemies. O most precious and life-giving Cross of the Lord, help me, with our Holy Lady, the Virgin Mother of God and with all the Saints throughout the ages. Amen.

And grant me, O Lord, to pass the sleep of this night in peace, that when I rise from my bed, I may please Your most Holy Name all the days of my life and conquer my flesh and the fleshless foes that war with me. And deliver me, O Lord, from vain and frivolous thoughts and from evil desires which defile me. For yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory of the + Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever. Amen.
Prayer of Saint Antiochus to Our Lord Jesus Christ
O Ruler of All, Word of the Father, Jesus Christ, You who are perfect, never in Your great mercy leave me, but ever abide in me, Your servant (handmaid). O Jesus, Good Shepherd of Your sheep, deliver me not to the revolt of the serpent and leave me not to the will of Satan, for the seed of corruption is in me. Lord, adorable God, Holy King, Jesus Christ, guard me asleep by the Unwaning Light, Your Holy Spirit, by who You sanctified Your Disciples. O Lord, grant me Your unworthy servant (handmaid), Your salvation on my bed. Enlighten my mind with the light of understanding of Your holy Gospel. Enlighten my soul with the love of Your Cross. Prayer of Saint Paul the Cenobite to the Most Holy Mother of God
O, Lady, Bride of God, virginal, pure Immaculate, blameless, without stain or disgrace, I who through Your birth-giving brought together our fallen state and the things of Heaven: O You, only Hope of the hopeless, Help of the oppressed, ready Protection of those who flee to You and Refuge of all Christians, despise me not who am a wretched sinner, who have defiled myself with unclean thoughts, words and deeds, and in my slothfulness have become a slave to the passions of life. Since you are the Mother of God who is the Lover of Mankind, have mercy, have compassion on me a sinner and a prodigal son (daughter.) Accept this prayer from my impure lips, and, with the power of Your Maternity, beg Your Son, my Lord and my God, to open for me the depths of His loving kindness, forgive my countless sins, convert me to true repentance, and make me faithful to His commands. O You who are compassionate, be my constant companion. In this present life, be with me as an intercessor, as a powerful help to turn away the assaults of my enemies, and to guide me to salvation. At the hour of my death, be with me to embrace my poor soul and to keep away the dreadful sight of the wicked devils. On the terrible Day of Judgment, deliver me from eternal punishment and make me an heir to Your Son’s glory, through the grace and the love for mankind of Your Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him and to his eternal Father and to His all-holy, good and life-giving Spirit, we send up glory, honor and adoration, now and always and forever and ever. Amen.
Prayer of Saint Antiochus
Now that we are about to lie down to sleep, grant us, O Master the repose of our soul and body. Preserve us against the dark slumber of sin and against any impure satisfaction that roams around the darkness of night; quiet the assaults of our passions, arrest the darts that the Evil One insidiously throws at us. Still the commotions of our flesh, and calm all earthly and worldly feelings within us. Grant us, O Lord, a watchful mind, innocent thoughts, a sober heart, a gentle sleep free from evil dreams. At the hour of prayer, rouse us, strong in the practice of Your commandments and ever-mindful of Your desires. Give us the grace to sing Your glory throughout the night; to praise, bless and glorify your all honorable and magnificent Name, Father + Son and Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever. Amen.
Prayer of Intercession
O Lord, lover of mankind, forgive those who hate us and do us wrong; do good to those who are good to us. To our family and relatives, grant all their requests that lead to salvation and eternal life. Visit those who are sick and grant them health and strength. Guide those at sea. Travel with those who travel by land and air. Struggle alongside the Christians. To those who serve and are merciful to us, grant forgiveness of sins. Have mercy on those who have asked us, unworthy as we are, to pray for them. Remember, O Lord our parents and relatives who have fallen asleep, and grant them repose where the light of Your countenance shines. O Lord remember all those who are captive, and deliver them from every misfortune. Remember, O Lord those who bear offerings and do good works in Your holy Churches and grant them salvation and eternal life. Lastly, O Lord, remember us wretched servants and unworthy sinners: enlighten our minds with the knowledge of You, and lead us in the way of Your commandments, through the intercession of Your All-Immaculate Mother, our Lady, the Mother of God and Ever Virgin Mary, and of all the Saints, for You are blessed for ever and ever. Amen.

Glory be to the + Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Be my soul’s defender, O God, for I step over many snares. Deliver me from them and save me, O Good One, in Your love for man.
Now and always, and forever and ever.
Let us not silently hymn the most glorious Mother of God, holier than the holy Angels, but confess her with heart and mouth to be the Mother of God, for She truly bore God incarnate for us, and prays without ceasing for our souls. Amen.
+ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
