End Study One-on-Ones
Estimate 30-70 minutes
There is an unknown component for them so try to work through that as much as possible and inspire some openness for them. Maybe in the intro prayer include some brief intercession for the meeting that God would reveal his will and help us to recall the good things He has done for us.
2. Discuss some or all of the Following
Make this as organic as possible, let the Spirit guide the conversation, but ensure it is the Holy Spirit so that the conversation is worth their time. Please answer the questions yourself if it seems prudent (time, conversation, and content-wise). Feel free to summarize, reword, etc., print and write down key questions, etc.
I found it helpful to respond to their questions with something that validates their efforts and doesn't make it seem like an intervention but communion on the points of struggle and ignorance. Be sharing yourself and holding yourself to whatever you encourage them to do practically. Also, remember that this is to help them see what God calls them to next, not for you to tell them directly what to do.
The key objective here is to encourage them to contemplate the state of their relationship with God and what a simple next step would be in a way that we have experienced.
Bible Study:
What encounters, realizations, and/or helpful information have you had with Christ's love and truth through your Bible study journey you would like to share briefly?
How can you intentionally seek to understand, receive, and respond to God's love and presence in your life consistently, both on and off campus?
If you have constructive criticism, would you mind completing this/a survey with that in mind (see other means of access below)?
For those who missed sessions, are there any quick questions we can answer to help connect you with missed content?
How can we pray for you?
Faith Journey:
You will want to focus on growing the exchange of love between God and them.
Can you briefly share your testimony and how you perceive God is at work in your life motivating you to continue to seek Him?
What steps do you think you need to take to progress further in your faith journey? (Think prayer and sacraments especially)
Reflecting on the constant availability of God's love, grace, and providence, how might your perspective and actions change going forward and how have they so far?
Any questions or conundrums regarding the faith that we can help you answer in this meeting briefly, researching some for you, and/or by referring you to other resources.
Life going forward:
How do you plan to keep God at the forefront of your summer plans, especially in scheduling prayer time?
Next year, whether you are continuing your studies or graduating, how can you ensure continuous intentionality and growth when it comes to your faith? Would you be interested in co-leading Bible Study?
3. End in Intercessory Prayer
